Well - we've been out and done the usual Friday larder top-up exercise - it is perishing freezing out there; it's been a lovely clear, bright day, but the temperature must be well below zero. To show how cold it is - not only have I got the central heating on - but I've turned the thermostat up too

Came back to find my next door neighbour washing his car, using a hosepipe, in the dark, PIR floodlight switched permanently on - in sub zero temperatures - cue very icy drives

To be honest, he's a bit of a nutter - fancies himself as a mechanic, with his main expertise being to look under the bonnet, study for a few minutes, and then start it up - and immediately rev the you-know-what out of it

He's known in our house as Richard Head

I don't know what kind of night we are in for but the local news earlier there was a reporter speaking live from Ibrox in Glasgow. The snow was tipping it down, allegedly there's supposed to be snow right through the central belt.
