Just had an almighty squall, I'd been out to the dryer in the shed, few spots of light rain, I came back in and seconds later it turned to torrential rain then big hail bouncing up about 12" on the shed roof. The old boy next door hadn't long gone out with his dog, he returned pretty rapidly

Just watched a long tailed bird of the blue/great/coal family hanging off the corner of our sash window and giving it a thorough inspection.

Highly acrobatic and fascinating. No idea what was so interesting as the bird feeder is only a dozen feet away and they didn't come from it or go to it??

Maybe telling me they need cleaning .

Quizzie oblivious as she's curled up, snoring .

Good morning Jeff and thank you for those words of encouragement. It will be the longest drive since the leg operation. Yesterday it was hot and the temperature got up to 36C, it was just as well I had the A/C recharged. We are staying with a friend at her house in the bush in Laikipia. She has a river running through the bottom of her plot / garden but it’s dried up because of the heat and drought. We heard her garden has recently been invaded by Baboons scavenging for food.

What are your plans for the weekend?
