Default Help - Battery warning light

Mrs waas diving to work and called to say battery light had come on in car. She was then driving home and said car air con stopped working , stereo going on and off and car losing power. Reading a few threads on here but would a dodgy alternator cause these symptomns?

I fitted a tv module to double din the other day but this was going great and thought maybe ive fitted it wrongly but dont think so. Ive now taken that out but car wont even start now.

That's typical symptoms of an alternator not charging the battery and the battery eventually running flat. As long as everything is still connected (probably is) then the alternators slip rings are likely to be the cause. Can't say how hard/easy the job is on the 2.0.

Presume you know how to check voltage using ipk? If not, see attached...

A healthy alternator should give 14.2v or more.
