Checked again over weekend. Nothing no water loss. I am going to check all hoses and maybe check water pump and thermostat and housing.

See where that gets me. Oh and replace the cap.

I suspect the garage has started you on a wild goose chase. When the cooling system is 'full' it will look 'empty' to anyone unfamiliar with the correct fill levels. As noted by Arctic and others, note the proper 'MAX' and 'MIN' markers inside the header tank and check the coolant level at least weekly. The first sign of a leak isn't necessarily water on the deck. You'll see it by the tank level. I also doubt the pressure cap is faulty, but just replacing the seals (forum traders, eBay) will effectively renew it.

The undertray and the big 'sponge' thing that's glued to the bottom of the radiator will stop a lot of leaks showing up on the floor under the car.
