Exhaust options for the quiet life - OEM or SS
I would imagine 75 owners appreciate a quiet exhaust , so I think you guys are the people to ask.
I currently have a Klarius back box fitted to my Rover 45 1.8 Connie Saloon. I fitted it around a year ago , but I've always found it far too boomy and loud. Can anyone recommend me a decent brand? I can get an OEM back box for £138 from X-Part, i'm seriously considering that. Are custom stainless steel ones worth considering? |

custom stainless steel versions are a great option for replacement, ask the manufacturer to make you a copy of the OEM box and they will at a cost.
regarding the sound, ask them for it quiet, they seem to think you want a sport tone as standard |

Sorry to butt in on this thread but it saves me starting another. I have a bit of an exhaust problem and looking to get a full SS system. I have heard some people mentioning a de-cat setup. Is this a system from the start of the front pipe without a cat and if so does it affect the M.O.T at all ?.
Cheers Tony

I have a Longlife one on mine, it was recommended here. They did a good job and were very friendly.
However, although I asked for it to be as quiet as possible, it is still quite a bit louder than the standard mild steel setup. |

Thanks for the replies , I think I'll go for the OEM rear silencer priced at £138 . I've added loads of extra soundproofing to my 45 and the exhaust is making a mockery of it all.
