Default T4 install help

A Swedish Rover (and MG) owner has bought a complete but as bought non-working T4, the laptop has now been repaired and he’s got win95 installed on it but when he inserts the T4 set-up discs he’s asked for a code (?) Hope this sounds familiar and someone can help him move forward.

Regards

To set up the laptop all that's needed is RDS 5.06 no code is required (I've set up a few laptops for T4)
Once RDS is installed to use it then you just then insert the relevant diagnostic disc.

Which discs does he have?

Russ

Many thanks for the reply, and I don’t doubt that you’ve set up a few in your time. I don’t know which discs he has but understand he bought a complete non-working T4 (the Dell laptop needed a new processor). The laptop has been fixed and the owner described that the machine was asking for a code when he inserted the T4 discs. I’ll see if I can get more information / alternatively get him to reply himself. Doesn’t help much that he lives over 700km away in the south of Sweden.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply especially at that hour, I’ll forward your reply to him immediately.

Regards

Code is not requested on my T4 sounds like it’s incorrectly configured

Thanks for the input.

I think we can take it as gospel that if BigRuss says no code is required then no code it is. As the T4's owner Bo Hansson has found his way here I'll let him take over the thread.
