The Renault 5 utilized one of these purpose designed long bolts for its battery clamp and I use one without problem on my Rover 25. When the weather and time permit I will check if it fits my Rover 75 ok. These type of battery-clamp bolts might be had from other cars too from looking on ebay, just a question as to which ones will fit the Rover 75 ... or not as the case might be.
