I have no tuning secrets, i'm an open book, when it was said by andy willi to go old school I just thought about my old Hunter from the 80's can't get much more old school than that. An engine is just an air pump. you just need to get more air in get a bigger bang get more air out.

If andy has any new secrets that haven't been mentioned I'm always willing to learn, but I don't profess or pretend to know more than any one else and certainly do not pretend to have a God complex!.

Maybe a bit of Devil and anti establishment in me but that's about it sorry as well if any one feels offended or belittled

May be try using a kv6 2ltr as that's the engine xpower used in the touring car. Apparently you can get more power from them than a 2.5 go figure

What you did is old school, to me it is.

Plus you certainly haven't done anything to offend anyone.

The way I think about this is, firstly you make sure everything is working as it should.
TomRS said the vis motors etc have been done.

So the engine is all hunky dory, cool.

Now I would change the air filter to a sports one, K&N or Pipercross or something else.

Exhaust wise, well the KV6 pretty much has a decent enough exhaust as it is, unless you want a better sound then a different backbox could be fitted. But don't overdo the bore size as that can decrease power.

There is a book called, Forced Induction Performance Tuning which is well worth getting, it's an old book but can be expensive to buy.

On Amazon it was £72+ which is ridiculous.

I had a look on BookFinder and the cheapest on there was £65.11

BookFinder is good for finding any book!

That's all I can think of for now.

Thats all done.

Manifolds are gonna get custom made in the next few weeks, im looking into maybe running some form of home brew supercharger kit.

From looking at many pics of the Sprintex kit i reckon something could be made.
I am awaiting a reply from sprintex first.

I just find it hugely annoying that my 150bhp 2.5 tdi 1999 Audi is quicker than my apparant 190bhp KV6.
Granted the Audi weighs 200kg less and has wayyyy more torque but come one rover!!!

One has a turbo, and isn't detonation limited, the other hasn't a turbo, and is, not that the detonation limitation has a huge amount to do with petrol engine output.
Are you really suprised?
There's a reasion the Racmsa use 1.7 as the equivalence for turbo engines in competition.
