That means: "anti-theft code, no successful communication".

You haven't replaced your key case? If so you need to swap the chip in the case over.

If not check the chip in the key you are using, and if you have a spare key try using it.

If you have swapped key cases, then if you just put the old key close to the ignition lock, it should work.

There is a tiny removable transponder supposed to be in each key and without that transponder, the car is immobilised.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Default fault code

Morning everyone,
I tried using my spare key as suggested but the car still wont start, still plenty of power from battery to light up the dash but car still wont click or turn over, so what i tried was take key apart as to change the battery in it and tried to start car dash lit up saying "engine immobilised" put chip near it and the dash cleared so that tells me the chip works?

Could it then be the immobiliser? Anybody help please

The tiny transponder, which allows the car to start, doesn't need a battery. It is rather like the chip they insert into a dog's neck. There is a coil around the ignition lock, which both powers the chip and interrogates the chip. The chip has to then respond with the correct code, or the car is immobilised.

It only shows engine immobilised when the chip/transponder is not part of key, when all put back together the ipk doesnt show anything
