you need to get the conections at the door jam plug on each side. wouldnt try it myself without the doors off tho it can be done with them still on.

Thanks
You can fit the powerfold mirrors without removing the doors, its the wiring from the drivers side to the passenger side that its easier to run with the doors off.

The drivers side will work

Here is Bernard fitting the powerfold wiring at a Nano last July.

Thanks pab – and I know it's easy for people with your expertise to “whip the doors off”, but although I repair computers for a living, so am not a complete idiot, I know nothing about how cars are put together, and much experience has taught me that for me, “easy jobs” can often end in tears.

What I was trying to say was – several people here have said that the “side to side” loom is present in most cars, so I probably won’t need to do that; so then I thought any additional wiring would just go from the door switch to the mirror on each side – am I wrong about that?

The connection plug was deleted on my car. The car in the images was a 2003 Connoisseur SE. Most early cars will have this connection in place, later stuff is a gamble.

You don't know the disasters I've had working on cars

I have this vision of me standing in the middle of a field alone somewhere, with my doors lying in a patch of mud, wires hanging out everywhere, getting dark, going "Guys? Guys...?"

Hi Roger.
I can assure you that no one at any of the nano's have or ever will be left, without them being able to get home, and anyone whom helps fit the power fold mirrors for you will do so from start to finish, we are a team at the midland nano meets and as such all pull together, hope this helped with your fears Arctic
