I will keep u posted tomorrow, the disappointing thing is I have always wanted a Rover 75 and I really hope I've not brought a pig in a poke, I really want it to be the switch

What oil grade did they put in it? If you are unsure, I would replace the switch, put in the correct oil and fit a GENUINE filter. I put a non gen filter on a Ford I had once and it took an age for the oil lamp to go out once started.

hi dnt know kwik fit did the change according to the envoice

I would be suprised if genuine parts were used. I imagine they use a standard oil for everything but don't know for sure.

Default saga of oil pressure warning light

Sorry to disappoint you folks but they sent the wrong switch, so I am in limbo for another 24 hours can I stand it. Thanks for the support will fill you in as soon as I know.

Is it really so important to get exactly right oil, is a filter not a filter, would it really make the oil light play up.
