Default Leather Dye

Hi Guys,

Not strictly a Rover query but I wondered if anyone has advice on light leather repairs.
I also own a BMW with cream leather upholstery (technically Dakota leather, colour Ivory). On the driver's seat bolster the leather has become just a little bit creased with getting in and out and with repeated cleaning I think I have worn the colour off causing a couple of areas to look darker. I think the original marks were dye from new dark jeans (very difficult to remove).
The marks are only small, but any advice regarding a cream leather dye etc to repair the small damage very gratefully received.
I would feel a lot happier taking advice first before rushing in. The rest of the car and other seats are immaculate so don't want to spoil anything.

Checkout the furniture clinic, I had some dye from them for my dove grey leather drivers seat in my Jag , it was a really good match

Thanks for the advice, Gary.
I have emailed them for their recommendations.
How did you use the dye they sold to you?
Was it as simple as rubbing it into damaged area, or more complicated?🤔
Thanks again.

+1 for Furniture Clinic. Very helpful when I visited them last year. Produced an exact colour match for me. They supply full application details.

Strictly of course its not a dye, its a colourant.

Thanks for that.
I have taken their advice and ordered the colourant and the alcohol cleaner which should arrive around the middle of the week.
Also, they have the exact BMW Dakota Oyster colorant, or so they say🤞🙏😁

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner , as KWIL says the instructions are included , and its fairly easy to do , just add the colour a little at a time, make sure the leather is clean before starting, my repair was to a seam with stitching that constantly gets rubbed as you get in and out of the car this appears to have stood up well to use .
