Hi and thanks for comments.. I would really like to know about the inlet manifold mod by Saga Lout .. so if you see this please let me know how to make contact.
Incidentally Scot at dmgrs said he modded the inlet manifold when they have a ball bearing in the water outlet by removing it.. Also of the 3 K series engined cars he owns all now have metal inlet manifold.
I've ordered the bits and note all the comments especially from T Cut.. Bought everything from Dmrgs as recomended. Have gone for the uprated oil rail and the latest elastomer gasket. Recomended by Dmgrs. Bought everything (full gasket kit) including cambelt, water pump and metal tensioner for £179.. delivered.
I'll take out a couple of valves and check condition of seating and seals.. but if ok I'll skip doing the rest and as T Cut said no need to make too big a job of it. One thing I noticed on undoing the head bolts was that the exhaust side released easier than the inlet manifold side.. hence my oil rail upgrade.
