Default Steering Wheel Repair/Replace

My 75 connoisseur’s wheel is very very worn around the circumference and I’m not sure if I should repair or replace it. Current interior is the creamy colour, but if I was to replace I’d want a black wheel. Has anyone swapped before and think this would look good?

What would a price be for one in good condition (no marks or anything along them lines)?

If you went for the standard black leather wheel which you mainly get in the ZT's you should be able to get one for 40/50 quid or so- usually on e bay . Asking prices rise for wood wheels - Walnut and Light Oak etc - there is also a dark oak trim - 75.00 upwards to over 120.00..

After having light oak, walnut, leather ZT wheel, I eventually settled for the black leather one from the contemporary model. Slightly larger than the ZT wheel.

I probably will go for the ZT wheel! It’ll stand out as well and hopefully go nice with the light coloured interior

There is a company near Ayelsbury who recovered a wheel for me last year, £120 and it was back in about a week.

If you want the details I will see if I can find it for you.

Thanks but I’m in Nottingham and probably would go to someone a bit closer.

I did the same swap early this year to black. I have the wood wheel still which I have not got round to selling as I am not sure of the legality of putting an airbag in the post.

Not far from you either if you possibly want to swap to another wood one. Off a lowish mileage 05 plate and in great nick.

Can't post airbags, but I'm sure whoever buys it will have their own airbag

Thanks for the message.

That wheel is in lovely condition! If I had a different coloured interior I’d definitely be interested but I don’t think it’ll work with the colour scheme.

When you did swap it, how did you put airbags in/transfer them etc? I’m thinking about getting a black ZT one, and putting a Rover badge on it, but I’m guessing it’s no easy job.
