Just heard it and agree, but if Tony Blackburn gets the push for misleading the enquiry why have the BBC middle managers got off scott free when it is accepted that they were aware of goings on ?

Lord Hall was asked twice about senior mangers getting sacked and ducked the question both times

No wonder it is being called a whitewash by some and Blackburn's evidence to the enquiry is claiming the BBCs version of events is different to his so thay have sacked him.

Lots more to come on this over next few days and weeks, at least it will take the EU referendum off the front page for a bit

Many BBC employees, including Paul Gambachini and Esther Ranzen have already admitted knowing about it but doing nothing. Yet they still have jobs.

Anyone who believes those at the top knew nothing of Saviles activities must also believe there are fairies at the bottom of the garden.

Blackburn appears to have been sacked for blatently lying to an investigation.

A more seedy bunch of letchers it would be hard to find.

Reading the news, he says he's been thrown out as a sacrifical lamb and he's suing them.

Maybe but there's no trial and no-one has found him guilty of anything. Innocent until proven guilty?

What it seems to be about is a different version of events about an interview in the 1970s.

I think so yes, although it depends on which report you read.
Never the less seems a bit odd to sack someone over the ins and outs of an interview at work 40+ years ago.
