Me too Tatts. My Valve is louder than ever at the moment. And it also calms when the engine is properly hot. I would have put money on it being the manifold too.

Thats the thing Jim, I know it's not the Manifold - both Vis motors are working fine, and the Power butterfly rod is ok; plus my little mod on the Balance butterfly will undoubtedly help - hopefully anyway!

It's just the clatter when it's cold, kinda reminds me of a diesel!

The lack of power somedays is worrying, but I'm off down to see Lates in a few weeks, see what he makes of it.

What was done to fix the rattle as i have this problem too? and i dont live close to Lates. lol

Changed the idle solenoid. No more clacking!

But you said the noise was coming from the purge solenoid, not the idle stepper.
