Devilish a trader here can possibly help the FBH and dozing pump.
How difficult to fit depends on how good you are with a spanner.
Removing the rear seat can be difficult because the "spring" can be difficult to unclip and reclip in place.
Fitting hoses can be fiddly and best not done with cold hands as it can be a cramped working space.

As for cost, may be cheaper to get a known working one then a second hand untested one.
"Common" faults, glow plug becoming high resistance and pcb going wrong.

Devilish or frenchmike are the people that can help with the pcb so don't worry if this is dud.

I recommend fitting one. I've fitted a FBH to both my cars and think they are such a good idea, I have managed to cobble together a complete spare.

Whilst the FBH may be fitted to other makes, the PCB is specific to our cars. If you have a scrap yard near you always worth seeing if they have one

Thing is guys, with the kind of little journeys I’m doing, I’d be warming the FBH up for 20 minutes to drive for 10 or 15…

+1

Without one, you will constantly be driving with a cold engine which isn't good for anything.

Boy it must be cold in your car during the winter.

Correction needed to the above, Devilish is not a trader on here, we both have gained a lot of knowledge about the workings of the FBH and are prepared to help members on here whenever possible

What you would actually be doing is pre heating for 5-10 minutes, Within 5 driving minutes, your interior is nice and warm, whereas FBH less, your Interior would still be considering warm air at the end of your 10-15 mins.

Snow on ice, ice, or frost, you go out to your defrosted motor, listening to scape scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape.

Even with your 10-15 min journeys, install a FBH, and you will wonder why you waited so long.

Hi Ian. I am a trader, and I am on here, but I do not trade on here. BIG difference. So it is down to how it is interpreted.

Devilish who trades on here.
Devilish a trader on here.

Devilish a helicopter pilot on here, would not mean I take members for helicopter rides.

got to be honest I thought you were a trader trading via the forum. I apologise if this has caused embarrassment to you that was not intended. I then wanted to check that trebor was making it clear you did not trade via the forum but traded elsewhere.

Best on intentions going wrong.
