Default Bonnet catch problem

Everytime I open the bonnet on my 75 the catch sticks and I have to take the plastic housing off the side of the wing and manually try to reset.

I've greased the half moon thingies and sprayed the cables in the housing with GT85 and this seemed to work first time round but now still doing it.

The housing/cable arrangement is not broken as yet.

Any ideas?

Leave the bonnet catches slightly loose (the ones in the slam panel)

If that doesn't cure it then it could be one or both of the cables starting to fray and bind up.
