well done TF.
Like the rover 3500.
my dad had a 2200 SC which I was allowed to drive as a a youngster.
much fun, and I vowed then to end up owning a Rover V8 ( does and MG ZT with a ford V8 in it count- I think it is evolution taking its course and love it to bits)

Er, we're talking about the P6, not the SD1, here. My car was built in February 1972. I've only ever seen one other P6 fitted with the same roof as my car.

Takes me back. Used to be very enthusiatic about the old P6s. Someone I knew was dead keen to get the metal sliding roof. On the P6 undo 28 screws and the roof panel lifts off.

After a great deal of searching he found one in a scrap yard and obtained the roof. He then fitted it and at last his dream had come true - apart from the terrible whistling from it.

Sometimes dreams are the best and reality tends to depress.
