Default Another niggly little problem.

OK, The Brake Pad Low warning light came on, which was strange as they had not long been replaced.

Removed both Off side wheels and checked the pads,, More than 75% still there.
Checked the sensor's.and they were well clear of contacting the discs.

so what would be a possible cause of the warning light coming on.

I have cleaned both sensors, pads and callipers and they all seem OK

Low fluid level or hand brake switch?

A break anywhere in the circuit would cause it John. Unplug each sensor in turn and bridge the two connector terminals on the loom side. If the warning then extinguishes you've found where the problem lies.

The red warning for brake fluid and handbrake is separate from the yellow brake pad wear circuit.

Thank you Simon, I will start with the rear one as the front one was replaced some time ago and still looks in good condition..

Default Update

Well after testing the rear sensor and the warning light still staying on, I moved to the front sensor. Bypassed the connector and the warning light goes out...Upon inspection there was a broken wire near the connector. So problem sorted well at least found..just need to order a new sensor and fit it and the jobs a good un

Excellent, thanks for posting a successful diagnosis John.

Just a little reminder to be careful not to lose the little metal clip when you remove the current sensor from the brake pad.
