I have no idea. It looks like some kind of kit car based upon a Sierra, with Jag XJR15 styling cues

No it's not a kit car, it's from a low volume manufacturer that let's say produced some rather diverse vehicles from the 70's to the 90's.

The 70s-90s makes me think of Panther? I can only think of their pre war Mercedes copies and the lovely six wheeler.

EDIT: Know what it is now! I actually was aware of its name, but never realised it looked like that. But it was not from knowledge, so dont feel it is right to say.

Perfect reasoning Alan.

Another picture of the rather singular vehicle .

Probably all rather obvious what it is now, but can anyone name the car behind and the vehicle it was based on - all without resorting to google or wikipedia .

Regards
Jim

Easy Panther Solo, I remember going to the Motor show when it was released. Sierra Cosworth I think with 4x4 but I might have wished that.

I remember seeing one in the flesh at another show and the finish was very disappointing for such an expensive car.

I cannot see it properly with my phones cracked screen, with it being close to the solo, I would suggest from the roofline, a panther Rio or else a p6?

Correct Alan it's a Panther Rio and for those that didn't know the base vehicle was a Triumph Dolomite.

Over to you Alan.

Best

I reckon this, due to how iconic it is will be identifiable by this tiny crop - make, model and 'trim' level
