Evening all, What wild & windy trip across to Wrightington, It was lashing down with sleet horizontally , Dont think we reached more than 20 mph on the trip there Lots of branches ripped from tall trees in the road. Spent three hours in that place at three different departments sat in cold corridors because of 'patients only' allowed in the warm waiting rooms Talk about losing the will to live
Called at ASDA on the way back to do a bit of shopping and bagged a dustbin lid sized pizza which just about fit in the oven with everything on it under the sun for £1.16 off the reduced shelf

Well the dog walk was a damp one, I have removed a few strips of wallpaper in one of the bedrooms that was peeling due to damp (Thankfully the roof repairs have worked and the wall is now dry) Ill grab some wallpaper tomorrow and see if I can still remember how to hang it!

Evening Andy, Painting & decorating is the one job I've always hated doing & if I could wriggle out of it I would Pizza went down a treat & it's time for a bottle of Henry's to wash it down.

Just remember, the paste goes on plain side, not the patterned one.

Cool

Morning everyone.

At least the storm has passed by. Turned a bit brighter this morning.

Got an epic battle looming. Going to try and get a doctors appointment as soon as.

Morning all,

Looks like I'm going to have to take our cat to the vet at some point, he has been off his food for a couple of days, normally wolfs his food down but just seems to be grazing on it now.

Morning all.

Dry here but blowing a hoolie with evil looking grey clouds.

Spent the evening at the vets .

A certain golden girl had decided to jump up to the worktop and take a mouthful of the cooling home-made Xmas cake. This is completely out of character as it's something she doesn't do. Food, treats etc. as much as she can persuade you to give her but stuff on the worktops, no.

Since fruit cakes are loaded with all sorts of fruit that is dangerous for dogs it was off to the vet with her. Many of the fruits in Xmas/fruit cake can cause kidney failure and even death and it's not down to the amount of it they eat.

She wasn't alone - the cockapoo in front of her had chomped its way through a chocolate reindeer complete with the foil decoration, the golden retriever after her had joined in with Xmas cake and the lab after that had downed a Terry's chocolate orange.

Vets were great and she's now in her regular position, curled up on her blanket on the chair after an exhausting breakfast, as if nothing had happened . Wasn't at all keen on the activated charcoal last night though.

Pets eh? Who'd have 'em - ME

Look after yourselves.
