Windy and still not quite light in Edinburgh at the moment and no charity auction now for the wee one's painting Covid restrictions in Scotland have put paid to that, now going to meet my mate later on instead.

Lovely, sunny morning here but another trip to the dentist with a broken wisdom tooth. It's only a week since my dental MOT!!! Moral of the story - the MOT is only good on the day of the test!!!

So was mine……..Once !!!

Hope you keep your levels under good control. Mine were fairly well controlled up until a couple of years ago when my surgery decided to change me meds!

I’m now back on the Gliclazide that they removed to try me on something else.
They have since said I should have never been taken off them and the new med should have been used in conjunction……not as a replacement!

Since going back on my levels are slowly going back to where they were. I fear that the two years of bad control is what has sped up the problems with diabetic retinopathy.

It is what it is, hopefully the treatment along with better control will slow down further issues.

Morning all and a very good morning Jeff. Thanks for explaining everything as it will help anyone else having to face the same procedure. Wishing you all the very best in the management of the diabetes and with your return to driving. Predictive text suggests I replace “return to driving” with “return to drinking” Ha!

I don't eat a lot Jeff, dunno if its something to do with the liver problem but my appetite crashed a long time ago, food just doesn't interest me any more, bit frustrating as cooking was one of my passions. I'll make something "fancy" if Ging asks but won't eat it myself. Some days I'll have a couple of slices of toast in the morning and nothing else all day, most days in the evening I'll have toast or porridge. I might have a "proper" evening meal less than once a week. I never or extremely rarely eat "cr@p" (burger, ready meals etc) or fried stuff, on the rare occasion I take a fancy for the likes of sausages they're done in the oven.

I was amazed to get back in so quickly. All sorted out within around ten minutes. An old filling and part of the tooth had sheared clean off! It was so clean a cut that it didn't even need drilling. Just a splodge of body filler (well that's what it looked like), a bit of tidying and on my way. No pork crackling for Christmas lunch though methinks!

Evening all, had a trip to North Lincs today to arrange the ceremony with the Vicar, Meg decided that she wasn't keen on the church bell when it rang!

It's amazing how much a collies bark can resonate in an empty church.

An steady uneventful run up and back which is always a bonus, weather was pleasant too.
