You're absolutely right Steve! Order via that eBay listing and it arrives the next morning by FedEx at no extra charge. Simon

Here's an oil delivery story.
I live in Canada and was one litre short to do a manual gearbox change on my MGF. The stuff just isn't available here. Don't say "Call a Land Rover dealer". I did and they had no idea what I wanted as the last manual Landy was sold in Canada over 20 years ago. :eek In the past I was able order Ravenol from the north-east US but with the border being closed that's very difficult and expensive so I ordered a litre off e-bay. It came from The Netherlands but they had no issue with shipping. The seller just covered the plastic oil bottle with shrink wrap, slapped an address label on it and put it in the post. No box, no padding. My letter carrier was not impressed as she ended up with oil all over her day's delivery and I still have a stain by my door where she left it. There were no punctures in the bottle but it seems something heavy was on top of it for part of the 6000 mile journey to me!

There must be the correct grade of oil available somewhere local to you - is it not something like mtf90 or something along those lines (and is diff oil not the same?). Sent from my SM-A600FN using Tapatalk

The manual transmission fluid for the MGF's PG1 is very specific.
Some guys have had good results using Honda MTF but as I had 1 1/2L of Ravenol on hand I wanted to get the same. It was my own fault as I had rebuilt a replacement gearbox for my car and had installed the wrong driveshaft seals which resulted in a small leak. Both gearboxes were very close to the same age but apparently there was a seal change about that time. No more worries there as I sold the MGF to help finance my new ZT-T190. On the other hand I will have to hunt down some MTF for the Getrag in that one.

According to Rimmer's it is the same, and also same for certain land/Range Rovers Specification HERE and HERE - it may be easier finding info locally for you for one of the alternative uses vehicles (eg the Range Rovers and Discoverys). Chevron may be able to guide you HERE particularly the Discovery 2 L318 (use their drop down boxes HERE Alternatively, apparently Redline do a suitable range of MTF HERE
