I'd recommend the one I bought - they are pretty tough and well made.

And that is why I bought one. Wasn't even on my radar. After all, who, in their right mind, would buy an old Rover? Was searching for something to do our regular 3 hours+ trip from the Midlands to the North East and a 75 popped up as being comfortable. Then I found this forum and that pretty much settled it. Enjoy her. |

Had my 75 for 3 month's, it's had its issues ie swimming pool, Rear light issues, Bonnet Switch, but it's a great car to drive and I know everytime I park up and look back it makes me smile, that for me means I have the right car. |

Funny, I had a Volvo S80 and PX'd it for my first 75 for exactly the same reason. I was going to buy a 75/ZT before that, when they were still being produced. Looked at one in a dealer, went to sit in it and got caught out by the low door opening, smacked the side of my head so hard I was seeing stars, put me off.

Had a sticking rear caliper, replaced both rears with new old stock ones that I had sitting around, not a terrible job to do.. just about managed it before the cold got to my finger ends.

Replaced my bonnet gas struts this morning, only took 5 minutes to do both. Had a look to see if I could get behind the grille just by undoing the bolts holding the assembly to the slam panel but I can't, will need to get up under the wheel arches to undo the screws there and I'll wait for better and drier weather to do that.
