Default Are these seats genuine alpaca leather seats ?

I have just acquired a set of seats for my Caledonian. Are they genuine colour they have a date inside of October 2004 and they are darker than the cream summit seats.

Each genuine seat should have the sacrificed Alpaca's name and date of birth on a label at the bottom.

They look to be the Cream Summit leather sports seats (Option 1 in post 2, see Jules's in post 19). One of the more expensive options on the monogram options range I believe (options lists, I believe they are mentioned somewhere in this thread, but cannot find it). They look in rather nice condition, and have the cream plastic sides too, which most (if not all, had black which I always thought was jarring). Very desirable, and always fetch a premium.

My opinion only, the best looking seats for at least the ZT (in certain colours, and unfortunately not silver, or I would have striven to get a set), and perfectly suited to the Caledonian, maybe also with a sandstone interior also? (but that is my opinion only lol). Well done in getting a set of hen's teeth . Health to enjoy.

Hello Rog,

I am but an elementary student of the 75/ZT interior but I do have a 2002 Monogram brochure from which I can offer the following observations which may help you identify your seats.

The above are MG 'Sports' seats ('Sports' being the name for a range within Monogram) in cream Alcantara. This is a synthetic material so Maninder will be relieved to know that no Alpaca lost its life for their manufacture. The base should be a much darker grey than shown in your photograph so I'm uncertain that they are completely genuine.

This seat style is from the 'Classic' range of Monogram designs specifically for the Rover 75. The colour is named after the Alpaca mammal and was not available in the MG ZT 'Sports' style in 2002 (but of course that may have changed).

Where does the term "summit" come from by the way? I can't see a reference to it in the brochure.

Simon

They look like "Oxford cream" leather seats to me.

They do indeed look like Oxford Cream Leather Monogram seats, I have a set fitted to my ZT 180 SE Sports Auto, but as has been pointed out, most including mine have Ash Grey plastic side skirts where the electric seat switch packs are. Those look like the Sandstone ones found on a regular 75 to me, they may be genuine factory issue seats, or re-covered/replaced by a previous owner, if I knew the trim code from the donor car it might shed some light

Question

The side "AIRBAG" fabric labels are missing from the front seats
