Mad Max, one of my favourite films. Pointless fact, the actor who played the gang leader in the original film also played Immortan Joe in Mad Max Fury Road, Hugh Keays-Byrne.

5am rise no2, another to go, Ging is dayshift on Christmas day. Didn't bother going back to bed, can't get back to sleep once I'm up, best I can hope for is to doze for a while.

An update.

A paramedic did go to see him and was in conversation with his GP. Prescribed some additional meds.

Sadly, he passed away, at home, around 4pm today with his wife at his side.

Sorry for the dampener on the last couple of days before Xmas.

RIP.
So sorry to hear, thinking of you and your family at this time.

Had to go out and fill the bird feeders, drizzle has developed into proper rain. There's now a bird on every feeder step and a queue waiting their turn. 14-16 either feeding or waiting.

That's thrown my plans up in the air! Was going out this morning then preparing and filling the spring rolls in the afternoon. Ging has just texted there's a parcel being delivered anytime in the next three hours. I can't do the spring rolls now as the wrappers are just out of the freezer and it'll be the afternoon before they've thawed enough.

I've got to pop and visit family later and pick up presents for the kids, then that's me ready for a glass of wine or two when I get back, as I think tomorrow is going to be a stressful day.

Spring rolls wrapped, fry them later. Thirty of them . . . . less ones I have to quality check

I love spring rolls but not the Chinese restaurant/take away variety, too veg heavy with very little meat. These are more meat than veg with the veg blitzed so you don't hulking great lumps of it.

Sods law reared its head again, just started wrapping them when the parcel arrived

Need to get organised and go out. Least the delay has meant its stopped raining.
