Default Spellchecker Failure

Over Christmas I had to meet a particular niece and her kids, she must have some thoughts about me I know.

She was proudly displaying her seasonal jumper, so I tactfully asked her eight year old to spell "Christmas", which she did, spot on. Then I asked her to read out the words on her mum's jumper, which she did and quickly spotted "Happy Cristmas". Made in China.

When the rail industry caught up with technology we started using an early version of Windows. There was a local manager called Angus but you had to be careful as Windows kept autocorrecting Angus to A n u s . . . . I had no idea early Windows was so advanced that it recognised peoples attributes

I'm sure he's put it all behind him now.

So easy to trump up a charge of that naughty lady Miss Speling.

On reflection, it would only take the addition of an 'is' after the first 'is' to create a China Crisis. As if there hadn't already been one. Allegedly.

I can't remember when I added a spelling checker to my computer but I've found that it's very useful to have.--Free.

Lots of folk on here could do with down-loading one.---

I try to regard misspelling as an art form. It's a good way to practice self-restraint.

My English teacher at secondary school, no - not even a grammar, and no degree of any sort, was absolutely first class. Daffyd Jones his name. I know, I know. Mind you my surname is Welsh too.

I and one of my sisters took the secretarial course at our secondary school. The teacher, Mrs. Denis, was outstanding. We both have an ability to scan, not read a page and the spelling mistake jumps out at us, as with the subject of this thread. However, it can be frustrating when one realizes the drop in standards especially professionally.
