It was a little bit drier today so despite being all poorly with the Omicron I attacked the screws with a pair of locking pliers and managed to get them off. I've left them off, for the time being at least as I'm waiting for my club badge to arrive, hopefully this week but I fitted the retro Green Flag badge anyway.

I have new rear light seals on their way as these are leaking, and the coolant leak issue and transmission fluid change are scheduled for mid-January.

With an upcoming mot sometime in January, I thought I should switch out the Xenons to a set of projectors. In NI, Xenons aren’t allowed if no washers fitted. (In 9 years, with 2-4 cars every year going through, I’ve only been pulled twice over it).
Anyway, polished up a set of projectors with the remains of an old 3M kit.

Also fitted nightbreaker 200 bulbs for the dipped beam. Time will tell if they’re any good I suppose.

I can now report that the nightbreaker 200 dipped beam bulbs are very good.😃
Better than the Xenons if I’m honest.
As for longevity….that remains to be seen.

Two small but important jobs today.

Firstly I fitted new rear light seals. The old ones were predictably both split, this will be why the boot carpet is so wet. I have to dry this out now somehow, this is easier said than done as I have no indoor space to do it so am reliant on Mother Nature and patience.

Secondly, fitted the club grille badge. A couple of members had reported that after some time the back plate tends to corrode away so I gave this a few coats of Simoniz Tough Satin Black paint first. Whether this helps I won't know for a while. But now I have the badge on the front and the window sticker on the rear.

Have the same bulbs on my ZT-T. Had to adjust the beam down as kept getting flashed by oncoming cars 😄

Hi Gavin.
You will be picking those pine needles out of your this time next year, i would have tied string round it first, then wound cling film round it, which would help with those needles happy new year
