Grey day here but will brighten up soon with the pending arrival of #1 grandson his wife and three great granddaughters, Jan has spent the morning putting all the breakables out of reach of an investigative 2 year old.

Been checked regularly for varices but never had any, now on a medication that specifically targets the gut eliminating the need for the camera down my throat

Thank you Steve for correcting that. I am on a proton pump inhibitor called a prazole and because of its actions in stopping the production of stomach acid the Gastroenterologists have told me to eat a live yogurt every day and to have the camera down once a year. Achlorhydria - the absence of gastric secretions can become one of contributing factors, a breeding ground for a stomach cancer to start, I am used to the camera going down and am grateful I get checked.

Good news you don’t have varices.
