Happy New Year Harry. The speed at which the cruise control can be engaged, according to the handbook, is 25 mph. I presume from that, it ‘drops out’ at 25 mph?

I know what the manual says, but I guess they rounded it up, or they mean it only works at an indicated 25mph on the dash - which is actually a bit less than 25mph. I use it regularly in our local 20mph, set at 22 to hold everyone else up

We were snowed in today so thought I would remove the sill trims on my ZT-T and strip off the remains of the chipped paint.
I followed a how-to that said to use a piece of nylon strapping to pull the trims off the clips without breaking the clips. The trim came off undamaged but the not breaking part didn't exactly work out. The casualty rate was 19 out of 24. 1.83GBP each x24 (May as well replace the lot if they're that brittle) added to my latest Rimmer order-Ouch!

Noticed that my outside temperature reading is reading incorrectly..... -5 with not a sight of frost on other cars or on the pavements..... While the wife's Skoda is reading about 3.....

Check the ambient temp sensor and wiring behind the front bumper.

New owner
Bought my 1.8 Club on Tuesday. Drove it home. Moved it to a spot outside my house on Wednesday. Went to go for a drive yesterday and the battery was low. Had to leave it until today to investigate. Started on the jump pack and alternator charging as it should.
Removed battery to put on charge and set about the plenum drains (yes, I've been reading the forum!). Removed the panels to reveal this. Cleaned it all out, drain was blocked with NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- and a plastic fastener which I think belongs to the bonnet sound proofing. Chopped the bottom duckbill bit off the drain. (Tried adding more photos but they don't seem to work). I've ordered a new battery anyway as the one fitted looked a little small (and it may or may not be knackered anyway) and a new cabin filter. It has a few of the common issues which I hope to deal with over time (electric mirrors, boot lock etc). Last edited by Bazzateer; 9th January 2022 at 14:12.. |

Well done, great fun aren't they 😁 mirrors easy, pop the switch out, follow the how to on the forum, clean the contacts with a pencil rubber, jobs jobbed.
