From the Eastern Daily Press. Lots of priorities for cyclists and pedestrians??? Plenty of Bolshy cyclists already. This will make them more annoying!!! Not too keen on the pedestrians take priority when a vehicle is turning left off a main road. I can see lots of "rear ending" going on as cars stop to let pedestrians cross the road at junctions (or pedestrians just stepping off the kerb in front of moving cars).

Who thinks these things up???
not just rear ending .... pedestrain upending as well im afraid. its going to cause alot of problems i think . ...

70 mph down a dual carriageway and you spot a pedestrian waiting to cross the road. Do you stop to let them cross? I think that a bit more clarity is needed for a common sense rule.

You would not stop if the road is covered by a clearway/no stopping sign

Quite, there was a case in law whereby the vehicle driver lost. He was stating he didn't know the intentions of someone nearby (with headphones on) to a crossing. The judge stated that a driver should be aware of the possibility pf a person intending to cross the road.

Similarly, a driver should always expect a cyclist to go through red lights and be given verbal abuse as well as various other neanderthal like gestures for progressing through their green light.
