Default Sill repair - Ipswich

Hi all.

One of my sills has gone (OSR)
Any recommendations around the Ipswich area for repair work?

I can recommend a local small garage that cut out the old front/rear sill sections and formed/welded in new sections on my Omega. The chap came highly recommended by my trusted local independent. They use him for all their welding work. I am still pleased with the quality of the work.

It is LDO Vehicle Services, Forward Green, IP14 5EN. Tel: 07595223814. The chap's name is Liam and his premises are about 3 miles from the A14/A140 junction.

Also, if you need a good, trustworthy, local garage, I would recommend my trusted local independent - Old Forge Garage on the A140, about 2 miles from the A14/A140 junction. The mechanic's name is Jamie Green. I've been going here for nearly 25 years, although Jamie has only been there a few years.

Tom Hobbs is your man as Trikey said. He does sell pre fab spot on sill replacements on e-bay if you have a local welder who can fit them.

A local welder can do the sill oK - but its the construction of the jacking point under the C pillar that most cannot/will not do - hence our promotion of Tom Hobbs.

Cheers. I think I’ve found a company nearby that can help. He asked straight away if it was a monogram (regarding paint cost) so that gave me confidence they have some experience of ZT\75’s
