tragic early life he had. from seeing his brother die in his rear view mirror , then to flee his brutal alcoholic father from home , at a very young age, with the words " you will never make anything of your life " ringing in his ears. he made a success of his life. i saw him live around 20 years ago at the N.E.C birmingham. didnt do my tinitus any good though ... ringing in the ears for a week !!! great performer and so glad i went. R.I.P meatloaf.

Been watching the various programmes about Meat Loaf. I'd forgotten how much Paradise by The Dashboard Light makes me laugh. The Old Grey Whistle Test performance is still brilliant.
