MSS, I知 in my 70s now so not really interested. What I should have done is to volunteer to help in a third world Asian country.

At the rate it's increasing it will be more like several months at least.

My stepdaughter works in a large nightclub in London for some extra cash when they are busy. She had presumed they were not opening new years eve. Her boss has rung her to tell her she will be needed as they are just restricting the numbers to 4999, good job this virus can count.

Same here, kids and wife have nasty colds and we have been testing every day.

I was watching the Scottish News Show and one of the scientists was thinking restrictions should be lifted and treat the new strain as the common cold, Flu and get on with our lives, much as I like her optimism I would rather restrictions would be eased gently.

I would think that after 2-3 weeks of a surge in omicron followed by a trailing off, we値l relax restrictions and be told by Javid to get on with things as normal.

We will have a difficult couple of weeks, then things will improve. I知 definitely no fan of this government, nevertheless Javid seems to me to be a steadying influence. He wants to toughen it out and get back to normal ASAP. We have plenty of challenges on the horizon for 2022, we need COVID to go away.
