Possibly silly turbo question
1.8T tourer, doesn't smoke or burn oil, plenty of "go" on the motorway. How do I know if the turbo is working properly? I don't want to rev the whatsits off it and I don't notice any sounds that I can describe as turbo whine* .Would a faulty or seized turbo throw up any fault lights , errors or other signs?
*I know what an English Electric 2000HP diesel sounds like with 4 turbos |

Blue smoke and siren sounds/whining and the car running sluggish - no warning lights am afraid.

Floor it in 2nd gear on a wet road, if your wheels spin all is well.
