Default Guy blows his Tesla model S to smithereens with 30kgs of dynamite.

A Finnish chap whose Tesla model S was out of warranty decided he'd had enough after the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree will error messages and it was towed to the Tesla centre & after a month there Tesla wanted €20k to repair it.

He said on yer bike & took it to a disused quarry, put a dummy of Elon Musk in it & blew it to kingdom come with 30 kgs of dynamite

Yeah I thought there would have some fires fizzing around the place with punctured Lithium cells.
Even a Tesla battery pack with medium Degradation is worth between £5k to £8k by hobbyist.
I wonder if he'll make more money from this youtube video than parting it out as that video looked like a pro job with slo-mo cameras.

What a waste of dynamite, Houses of Parliament would have been far more suitable.

They would only allow a visitor in if he was wearing a mask. Oh, just a minute...

Seems that it's not a good move to be out of warranty on so many modern cars now.

Quite, and some good posts. I always thought we burn the wrong effigy on the 5th November - he should after all, be a martyr!

Does anyone know what the warranty is for Tesla (I guess it will be different for battery pack vs rest of vehicle)?

The last time I looked Tesla had a battery warranty of 7 years or 150k miles whichever came first. This Tesla model S was a 2013.
