Default strange they dont sell

So many companies sell wheel barrows and even replacement wheels but it seems as rare as hens teeth that they sell replacement inner tubes, strange.

Last time I wanted a tyre I bought a whole wheel from B&Q.
Now I need an inner tube as repairing the tube has not been successful.

Have you tried your local independent tyre dealers, not one of the chains. I know my local indy certainly used to repair tyres for building equipment.

Try on line; e bay? I have got tyres with inner tubes or inner tubes on their own. Seem to be cheaper to buy 2 at a time.

Ebay and Amazon both sell them but Jewson's, Wickes, Travis Perkins, Screwfix, B&Q none sell the inner tube but all sell a wheel barrow.
I dont even think Walsall Wheel barrows sell inner tubes but they make wheel barrows.

Looks like I will have to get one from Amazon.

They all sell products rather than spares as they are trying to maximise sales per square foot

My barrow tyre blew off (literally) sitting in the summer sunshine at the back of the garage. I thought that an explosion had happened! I replaced it with a modern plastic one.

As a temporary solution just get a bicycle tube from Halfords, Range etc., wrap it around the hub a few times, replace tyre and pump up. I did that once and it worked perfectly fine until the proper size tube arrived.

Solid tyre is the way to go similar to this
https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/troll...B&gclsrc=aw.ds
Best cash I have ever spent, has the same consistancy of an inflatable but never goes flat, mine even has a couple of nails haning out of it.

Mine came from B&Q but loads of places sell them and with a bit of shopping about should cost little more than a kneumatic tyre and tube

I've tried a solid tyre in the past but found they don't roll quite as well over bumps.

I got a puncture on my caravan's jockey wheel and decided to try one of those, as they were suggested by the seller to be OK for jockey wheels. It seemed fine when first fitted, but they need to stay up for prolonged periods. Next day, it was completely flat

So it seems they are fine for carry short term weight only.

I'd had lots of trouble with jockey wheel tyres going flat, so I wasn't impressed with that one. Last time I had a flat I got a solid tyre, which has been OK, but pneumatic ones are better, because they deform a little when not on hard ground, spreading the load.

I have had similar needs for my ride on tractor/mower and managed to source tubes on ebay, after ringing round local tyre fitters.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
