What method of drying the carpet did you use?
Leak could be from the front !!

Am in the process of putting everything back together in my Tourer. I had a dickens of a job locating someone here who sold the 16 mm-5/8 joiner. After driving around what seemed like half my city, I managed to find someone with them. Mine are a lovely shade of wedgewood blue though!
My Tourer had a wet passengers rear footwell when I bought the car. I used a fair few towels over a few weeks to soak up the excess, but a year later, when a W.o.F test came up, and I failed on my airbag light I thought I had better look further. Found 4 mls of water still in the rear passengers footwell.
My front two drains were sitting ok, no blockages.
Now will be pulling the rear of the car apart to do the rears.
If nothing obvious shows, I will do my scuttle panel clips as well.
Then, I will attack the Club, carpets are dry in that car, but will do the mod so as to make sure nothing leaks in the future.
Many thanks for the 'How To' instructions and pictures. Certainly made the job a lot easier.
Graeme

Hi Graeme.
Hopefully you are all sorted now for the winter deluges we will get and the sunroof tubes will cope, I have noted over the last week or so that a few other members are suffering the same problem, so maybe bring this thread back to the fore will help cheers Arctic.

Thanks for this excellent photo spread, it gave me confidence to tackle the dreaded drain tube mod.

Just one question, I noticed that once the glovebox is removed and the fusebox/loom is exposed that there is a loose cable (orange with, I think, a grey trace) that has an exposed 'bullet' type connector. This cable is also apparent in the above photos (nos. 8 and 10).

Is this cable supposed to connect somewhere?

Any knowledgeable replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks 😃

For retro fitting Towbar kit .

Why 1000's of these cars had separate wires run direct from battery for phone kits etc when this wire could easily be used and makes a tidier job !!

Hopefully you got it sorted out in the end, there will be a few owners whom will have to carry this cleaning and removing of water this summer, after all the rain we had late last year, and early this year seen a few at the nano when lifting the carpet to sort out the handbrake compensators.

Default sunroof drain passenger side

Hi Artic,
I have followed your pictures found broken joint near fuse box sorted this out, however now find further leak from higher up and seems directly under window post
water falling down inside cab onto your feet
being 72 and obese i cannot see the pipe higher up scared to mess with panel with airbag water also coming through headlining and wondering if the leak is behind the rounded panel down side of windscreen

any comments will be greatly received

thanks
ken
