Let's say it has ONE fault, however I reckon there is some stirring going on.

The car is mint otherwise and is a cherished example.

It is mate.. I'm unsure why rumours are spreading though...

Either way I'm not fussed, the car is paid for, and all cars of this age will develop faults.

The top and bottom of it is that I will get it fixed.

Not a bad example for a 20 year old to own though 😜😜

Cheers

Robson, PM Brian and see what he knows.

If it has what he says it has then repairing it before it becomes catastrophic would be the smart move.

I hope he was just yanking your chain

I have but received no reply.

The car hasn't be used since. It's awaiting diagnosis and repair now.

Cheers

That's a bit off and very un Brian like considering the gravity of what he posted.

Let us know what your mechanic says - hope it's good news.

This car has a history of overheating and coolant related issues, the first sign was HERE, however when chacked a Dave's workshop the fan works on both speeds and has had the thermostat replaced with a genuine MGR item, and vacuum bled using original MGR equipment.

The coolant was still pressurising, the prognosis originally from Turbo Dave was bleak.....the likelihood of a cracked liner and the previous owner was informed of this.

It is however in very capable hands with Gary Nelson, he is very old school and exceptionally methodical in his work.

By the way do you have the second key for your dad's old tourer please, so I don't have to programme a replacement for Gary
