There's also a golf (rabbit) gti and better still an Alfa 164  But I couldn't help feel sorry for the former 850 owner, and the 'deal.she got' .

Mine as well!! I had a nice royal blue Ford Anglia 105E - with wide wheels and an aftermarket rev counter on the dash!!! And my mates like to sit on the cars and the copper rivets of their jeans used to scratch the cars!!!

I cannot believe Mike Brewer still thinks it OK to park his backside on cars?

Having seen the new series (aired in the UK) coming up, it's still based in the US, as the production company which has taken over, & Edd disagreed with the direction, have diluted the techy stuff in favour of "entertainment".
They've done it with lots of motoring programmes on the new MotorTrend channel, used to be Velocity.
The list being 1976 Mercury Capri MK2, 1995 Volvo 850 T-5R Wagon, 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo, 2002 Corvette C5 Z06, 1991 Alfa Romeo 164L, 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI, 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10, and a 1991 Lotus Elan M100.

Parts prices must be really low in the USA, a set of wire wheel adaptors, 4 chrome wire wheels, and 4 new tyres for $1500 !

I met his dad many moons ago at a hotrod and custom show in Plymouth, he was showing his awesome Ford pop aka.. the pinball wizard, really nice bloke and managed to get a signed copy of the car featured in 'Hotrod & Custom UK'. Ray Mumford was there too doing his usual Custom airbrushing show, that bloke is soooo gifted, his airbrushing looks just like a photo.
Mike & Ed did a tribute pop to his dad a while back with just a bit of a modern twist, his dad loved it.

Watched an episode tonight in which they restored a BMW 2002tii which had not been run for 17 years.

According to their costings at the end of the episode they did not replace the 17 year plus old tyres !!!

I ran two Triumph 2.5 Pi with the Lucas mechanical fuel injection system. It wasn’t overly complicated as long as fuel pressure was right it was trouble free in operation but fuel pump in the boot was liable to overheating. The worst part about them was the mechanical linkage operating the throttle butterflies as it was really sloppy once it was worn

Haven't watched any of the Wheeler Dealers since Edd left as I only really ever watched it for his part, I always thought (and still do actually) that Mike is just a 'back street car salesman' who managed to get himself on TV.

I watched some of the youtube videos when Edd left, both of what Mike had to say about it, and what Edd had to say, and got the impression that Mike couldn't really give a <insert expletive here> about Edd, may be wrong, but that was the impression that came over.

I think that Car SOS has taken over from WD.

I do tune into older WD with Edd when there is nothing else on

Not sure if Mike is a petrol head or not..... but I do agree with what you are saying about Clarkson.
