Blower not working
My ATC panel lights up and I can hear the flaps working when I press the controls but no fan operation. Tried swapping out a resistor/transistor pack in the NS footwell and thought that had worked but got a strangled grindy fan sound for a second or 2 and then nothing. Bearing on the fan seized? Or is it the motor itself? Are these parts the same and is there a way I can check the unit?
Before complete failure the airflow pulsed for about 30s then nothing. Have tried to spin the fan manually behind the pollen filter. Might have to try again without the scuttle panels on etc. but I managed to turn the fan, just. Was very stiff is it meant to be like that? Last edited by lionatus; 8th October 2020 at 12:04.. Reason: looked in plenum and tried to manually spin fan |

The fan should be free moving by hand, sounds like it has bitten the dust!
Pedal box off and steering column knuckle off at the floor to allow access to remove the fan.

I wonder if it would be easier to remove the fascia to access the blower, the pedal box route is a royal PITA.
