Also the internal screws are so minute I need to do something about magnifying specs or a magnifying glass on a stand like I used to have when I was into model making. Its doable and not that difficult but as I said, I need to be better prepared.
Steve, I went through this with an iPhone and ended up taking the bits, the phone and replacement battery to a phone technician operating out of a phone repair kiosk in Little India Nairobi. He did everything quick and it was £50 all in.

Good luck with that

Well, thought I'd sorted the phone Changed the battery, charged up fine, discovered the touchscreen wasn't responding. Took it to bits to check the connectors and now its having an eppy to itself. Looks like I'll have to give in to Ging's suggestion of a new phone

Not a great evening at all really, noticed the drum in the washing machine ain't turning. Doesn't owe us anything, no idea how old it is. We've been here ten years and no idea how long my folks had it. Trouble is been looking at parts suppliers (probably belt or brushes) but its so old I'm struggling to find anything.

Cool

That was one hell of a storm last night. Horizontal rain and gale force winds. Thunder and lightning. But brightening up this morning.

Off to Truro this morning for some shopping.

Good morning Steve, things do wear out as you have discovered. In June this year I bought Jessica a new sealed iPhone 11 in mint condition, from these people off eBay and we are still happy with its performance.

Take care and good luck!

Morning, sad day, just ordered a new washing machine

Next is a new mobile. Dunno whether to get something more modern but they all seem to be a lot bigger than my old 5 and full of stuff I:
a)don't know how to use
b)will probably never use
