Default Anywhere in south Essex can than locate a leak in my aircon system?

Anyone know of a place that can locate a leak in my aircon system on my ZT? Just took it to have it regassed and they've said there's a leak somewhere as it's not holding the gas. Only just fit a brand new AC condenser to it.

Cheers

Hi Rick

Might be worth asking these guys. Allen and Hall in Romford. If you want to come this far "sarth".

https://allenandhall.com/air-con/

Have not used them for air con services, but they have done MOT's on my cars, fixed an exhaust knock that some others could not fix (and cheaper) and generally been very pleasant, reasonable and efficient.

They seem a genuine and honest outfit. I'd like to think they will deal with air con diagnosis and not wipe your eye balls while they're at it.

Their labour rate is something like £65 / hour. I think plus the usual.

edit : Come to think of it. They must have put leak detection dye in? Do you not have a UV lamp you could use? Should be very obvious. I have one if you want to borrow / try it.

Hi Rick,

After recommendations from other members I used Click4 Aircon. A one man band but very reasonable and thorough.

I think he may have ceased trading? I tried his number a couple of months ago and it was unobtainable.

Having just gone through this, removing bumper, slam panel and fan was not a major job.

The mobile air con chap sprayed soapy water over the condenser radiator and after a while two very small pick pricks showed themselves.

I used a Honda dealer locally and they did not charge me for visual inspection, re-gas and then a leak test and pointing out the condenser radiator was at fault. Reason they did not charge was because I could not see the leak. That was amazing service

Unfortunately Rons father passed away quite suddenly and he has had a hell of a lot of stuff to sort out, so isn’t doing air-con at the moment.

Thanks for all the replies

I think I'm sorted for now, posted on my local town facebook page and someone very kindly lent me his UV torch to try and identify where the leak is. Had a look and found the pipe which runs from the condenser to the AC pump has several areas where the green dye shows. So have ordered a replacement. Can't see any other signs of leaks anywhere else along the AC pipes, no signs of a leak on the connections to the ac condenser either so hopefully this is the culprit.

Ron (Click4) actually lives in the same town as me but i've tried contacting him through facebook a few times over the last couple years on having my aircon regassed but never receive a reply. So don't think he's doing it anymore.
