Aha, now that is a great idea. Well done Steve.

I don't think there's anything behind the liner stud - it just disappears into the 'girder' thing I mentioned earlier. All the fuel lines in that area are visible and there's nothing else I can think of that might be lurking in the girder.

The rivet fixings should also work for the 3 sheared off fuel line cover studs. This pic shows all 4 stud positions arrowed red.



I just need to drill them out - which will probably be a lot harder than it sounds.
