Default Another alloy wheel colour question!

Hi all, asked a week or so ago about some paint codes for alloy wheels and was very kindly given the names sparkle and liquid silver, think it was nbh and nmh.

However, possible change of plan, I've picked up a second set of wheels so I could refurb them in my own time rather than rushing about. These wheels were anthracite and now I've put them on the car I quite like them in this colour instead of the silver.

Would these be an mg colour that was an optional extra or do I need a visit to a paint shop for a colour match please?

Anthracite Black is indeed a standard MGR colour & the paint code is LQW.

Thanks very much! That's great to know, daft question though, is it actually black?

When I googled anthracite it looked a bit darker than LEF with a nice metallic sheen to it, this is what the current wheels are like anyway.

LQW is a metallic colour & looks Black but in certain lights can look like a deep Blue.

When you googled it, were you looking specifically at MGR colours?

You'll find many different shades of Anthracite out there as well as LQW (which of course is a MGR colour).

It looked different in different pictures to be fair dependant on how the light caught it, I looked at Google images and some parts for sale on eBay, but they were listed as anthracite grey.

Think my wheel is the same colour but will get it matched, like you say they have a blue tinge to them when caught in the light, nice metallic sheen to them too.

Thanks for your help
