I wasn't counting so I don't know, Phil.

But I do know how long a piece of string is.

Cheers Bri, the place will be a lot poorer without you mate.
Andy. Excuse my asking but how do you get this information ??--Is it by PM as I can't find anything about it in the threads or posts.--

Over the last few months I've read Brian's gone.-----No he's back---No he's gone again.

It's a bit like the news about Covid19.---What are you supposed to believe.

If he's not back in the next six months I'll begin to think it's true.

However there have been resurrections even thousands of years ago.

Could be one of those I guess because of his forum status.-

Best. Comment. Ever.

And for the fourth time, absolutely nothing against Brian. Just against multiple announcements saying "I'm/he's leaving" generating BowDown statuses/wishing him all the best etc. when - patently - if he's left, he won't be reading them. Although I'm sure he will, based on history. #feelgoodfactor

And thanks to the few who took the trouble to send me those venomous PMs and emails about my posts on this thread. I'm touched. But then, you apparently know that.

Dougie.

Dougie , having met and spoken to brian , I can assure you that his ego doesn't need massaging.
He didn't actually post that hes left , it was a mod.
If he comes back that's his choice and I will be one amongst many on here that would welcome him back.
We get that you dont like the fact hes left and come back but like most annoying things, you can have enough , take a break and then come back.
Lighten up , the club has lost a huge amount of technical information and if you can replace that , fine , if not let people say what they want , it's not causing any harm, its about the respect people have for Brian

I really don't care, and I don't mean that to be rude. I've no issue with that being your opinion. All I've done is the same - express mine.

This time round, that's correct. I did read the opening post and have referred to its author.

Fine. Don't assume I'd have a different view to you because you'd be wrong.

You've missed my point entirely. Brian or anyone else can leave and come back as many times as they want. It's a free club (unless you subscribe). I'm certain people do that all the time. Not many people make announcements about it though, then rinse and repeat. That's what I don't like, especially if it generates heaps of ego boosts. I've drawn inference and formed an opinion which I think is reasonable. That's all. I don't hate or dislike the guy.

Well I agree entirely. Let people say what they want. If you can find one tiny trace of my having suggested to anyone that they can't say what they want, post it here in bold red so I can correct it. And by definition, that must include letting you and I both say what we want.

If I'm wrong and Brian doesn't come back, you'll be quite correct in regretting the loss of his technical input which I would share. But happily I believe there won't be any such loss. (Mark Twain springs to mind.)

Dougie.

Come on guys, I cant believe this thread has turned out this way, it was meant as a public thanks to Brian, nothing more.

I reckon Brian will be having a good old chuckle over some of these posts.
