On the ones that I use:

Clear = -

Tint = + (on the ones I have it's a light brown colour).

They just dont work if you wire them the wrong way - no damage.

I do believe that if you want the chrome strips along the sill or sides, that they are chrome underneath the paint. I think Col (2 Deisels) did his a while back?
