Nick.

Picky says on the 'other side' that he does'nt have IR sensor and has no issues, so should be OK Nick.

The Symphony unit did not have IR, it was the later Kenwood units that did

As I am the only one with this unit I would think not, however,I did have the files on my SD card this morning but in the end I bottled it.Don't want to brick it before I fit the freeview box.I have seen a vid on youtube where a guy has it on his Mazda unit and the WinCE front end is identical to this unit so maybe it can be done.I'll let someone else try first.

Also tried Miomap on this today and does not work because of the resolution of the screen, had to tweak a few files but then the touch screen went a bit haywire so it's back to TomTom for now.

Talking One for a LHD please :)

Hi all,

I'm watching this thread with mighty interest, and probably wait until after xmas to order a unit too.

I've got a 75 saloon high line sat/tv and premium sound HK factory fitted, and as I understand it, it will not be a plug & play to the harman kardon amp as it works with speaker level line in's?

Can it be used/hacked to receive RCA's instead? or would it work with a RCA to speaker loom "adapter" ?

Any info will be much appreciated.

Kind regards from Portugal

I have lo-line with HK. Surely if the HK takes speaker level inputs we connect to speaker outs on the unit. There is no volume control on HK amp volume control is done by the head unit. Or have I got it totally wrong.

Was just going to suggest that myself. If the amp is fed from the speaker connections on the ISO block then you should be able to run the amp as you do now,all you are doing is swapping one head unit for another.According to RAVE the ISO connections are behind the dash in all variants.

Thanks, if that is correct, that is one problem out of the way.
