Default And it's all over !

RIP Arthur Montford (the sports jacket).

Legendary Scottish football commentator and presenter of Scotsport.

Well known to Scots members of a certain age.

His catchphrases were (what a stramash) and (its all over ).

It was the way he described a coming together of players fighting for ball possession.

He was our version of your John Motson.

I met him quite a few times through my connections with Dundee United. Always a gentleman and always took time to have a quick chat.

The TV folk are not all like that. Believe me!

Saddened to hear about Arthur Montford, I liked his commentating style.

Always came across as a decent chap.

RIP Arthur.

Arthur along with the late Bob Crampsay WHERE Scottish football when I was growing up .
I was lucky enough to pick both up in my cab and they were complete gents.

Highly educated and loved their football.

Legends in front of the camera and in print.
